AventA Translation & Interpreting Agency offers written texts, documents, scientific literature and fiction translation services.
Main fields of written translations
Translation of document and advertising booklet. Is there a difference?
Yes, certainly. Difference in translation approach. When accepting your documents for translation, our manager will definitely ask what the translation is for. And that is not an idle curiosity!
When translating a document, it is important to observe accuracy, stylistic variances are not allowed. The documents are often hard to read, full of legal terms, but translator has no right to change or add anything.
Furthermore, different authorities impose different translation requirements. For instance, notary public or banking institution would most probably require agreement translation in two column form, i.e. original text and its translation have parallel layout.
Another example: the Embassies of Germany and Austrian Republic place totally different demands for German translation of standard documents, and we must take it into account.
Experienced translator knows that Spanish translations of documents submitted to the Embassies of Spain and Cuba vary a lot, as their requirements differ.
When translating documents it is extremely important to translate names contained therein correctly. The slightest discrepancy with passport or other ID may cause further difficulties in any authority. In the first place, the document has to be clear, all stamps and seals must be translated. Special attention is given to translation of proper names and accuracy of facts described. The style is at the bottom of priority.
Technical text translation
Technical translation especially requires accuracy and consistency in terminology interpretation.
Our Agency chooses technical translation with extreme care. As a rule, these are professionals with technical background.
When dealing with large projects, we offer our clients a test translation completed by several translators, so that the clients could choose the most appropriate one.
Furthermore, we use advanced technologies: “translation memory” systems, glossaries, operating shells etc.
These technologies allow several translators to work simultaneously on a large project, following the same style and terminology. This by far increases quality and speed of translation.
Available Translation Memory doesn’t only enhances quality and speeds up completion of technical translation, but significantly decreases the cost of work, as the sentences or even abstracts that have been already translated once do not require second translation.
Translation of financial, economical, accounting, payment documents and invoices. Translation of banking texts.
Translation of legal or financial texts requires availability of certain knowledge of legislative base, specifics of economic relations and legal practice in various countries, as well as specific terminology. Many of our staff members are competent professionals with second degree in Law or Economics. They have a vast experience in translation of agreements, contracts, reports, accounting documentation, banking documents, business plans, title deeds, judicial decrees etc. Tight deadlines, complex terminology, multilanguage projects require high expertise, swiftness and accuracy that our professionals will surely provide.
