Aventa translation agency participated in the conference organized and held by the Ukrainian Translators’ Association. The subject of the conference was International and National Translation Standards Adopted in Ukraine. Uniform Standards of Translation and Interpretation services.
It is no secret that for the time being the translation agencies apply different counting systems. For example, some agencies count the translation volume by the number of words, but the majority accepts a conventional page as a translation unit. And here the divergences occur. The conference participants signed a Memorandum according to which the conventional unit for the translation counting was accepted as 1860 characters with spaces.
For truth’s sake, it should be mentioned that our agency has been following these standards since its very establishment.

Aventa Translation Company has finished the order from TVD Ltd. – a Russian-English and Russian-Spanish dubbing translation about the precious metal reclaiming machine. It was a really challenging task as it needed both knowing very specific terms and converting speech into a high quality translation.
