The need for a notarial certification of translated documents arises in many different situations. For example, to obtain a work permit in Ukraine foreign citizens must submit notarized translation of the passport and notarized translation of the diploma to the employment service. Thus, a notary can certify translation accuracy only in the presence of a certified translator.
